Clay is an exciting material that can be used to create an infinite variety of objects, from everyday functional items to sculptures and murals. The history of ceramics parallels the history of the human race and reflects the changing customs and personal expression.

Working with clay puts me in touch with the elements, water and air provide the plasticity for working soft clay, while fire brings permanence to the earth I transform. The creative spirit is freed when hands and tools are employed in making a form, and designing ceramics.

This is how I I relate to clay and I am inspired by nature and our beautiful island of Gozo, and every season of the year brings me more ideas and forms. My work is always different as I am very versatile. In my work, form and decoration often merge and these are the results of my fascination with clay and my inspiration from nature, which surrounds me in Gozo.
